Family Violence Task Force Training Initiatives
The Georgia Commission on Family Violence offers several training initiatives for Family Violence Task Forces to successfully engage both traditional and nontraditional community allies in the effort to reduce domestic violence-related deaths in Georgia. Each training initiative is grounded in Fatality Review findings from Georgia communities since 2004. Your Task Force does not have to participate in the Fatality Review Project to implement these training initiatives.
Please review the available resources on our website regarding trainings for law enforcement and faith communities and consider incorporating these initiatives into your Family Violence Task Force’s goals and objectives. If your Family Violence Task Force decides to implement a training initiative, we recommend creating a small subcommittee dedicated to carrying out the necessary components.
