Purpose of the Project
The Georgia Commission on Family Violence's Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) aims to strengthen the coordinated community response to family violence in Georgia through specialized training for law enforcement officers. LEEP provides comprehensive, accessible training to increase officers' knowledge of family violence laws, develop best practices for response, and enhance coordination with other stakeholders.
Our goal is to equip law enforcement professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively address family violence cases, prioritize victim safety, and promote offender accountability. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and providing up-to-date training on emerging trends and issues, LEEP contributes to the broader objectives of reducing family violence incidents and fatalities across Georgia.
This project aims to create a more informed, responsive, and victim-centered approach to family violence cases, ultimately working towards safer communities for all Georgians.
