Culture Matters: Improving Outcomes for Survivors of Domestic Violence through Racial Equity
This training has been approved by the Commission for 12 FVIP CE hours.
The goal of this training is to encourage the use of a racial equity framework to improve outcomes for survivors of domestic violence and their children. As a result of this training, participants will:
- Develop a working vocabulary of concepts related to culture and equity.
- Recognize the many facets of diversity and identity.
- Gain a better understanding of their own identity and how that impacts relationships with others.
- Explore the relevance of culture and how it influences violence against women’s work.
- Receive tools that will enable them to develop action steps to promote racial equity personally, organizationally, and in broader social change efforts.
- Both trainings are based off one another, so we encourage you to attend both days.
