Choosing Peace for Women: Facilitator Training

Step into the transformative role of a facilitator with Choosing Peace for Women, an immersive three-day training designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to guide women who have committed family violence offenses toward meaningful change. This evidence-informed program blends trauma-informed care with proven psychological frameworks to foster accountability, emotional regulation, and non-violent decision-making.

  • Day One: Explore the history of the domestic violence advocacy movement in the U.S. and gain a foundational understanding of Choice Theory, Social Learning Theory, group facilitation dynamics, and key intervention strategies.
  • Day Two: Deepen your expertise in Choosing Peace methodologies, including connecting habits, Glasser’s Solving Circle, the P.A.U.S.E. method, emotional regulation techniques, and the motives behind women's use of violence. Participants will also examine tactics of neutralization and other crucial behavioral patterns.
  • Day Three: Develop the mindset and skills of an effective facilitator by mastering total behavior, self-regulation, and co-regulation. Through hands-on practice, participants will refine their ability to guide women toward lasting transformation.

This training is more than an opportunity to learn—it’s a chance to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women seeking a path to non-violence and self-empowerment. Are you ready to lead with knowledge, empathy, and impact?
