This regional family violence training provided by the Georgia Commission on Family Violence (GCFV) and allied partner Amity House - Glynn Community Crisis Center will cover a wide range of topics important for law enforcement professionals responding to family violence incidents. The training will provide an overview of family violence-related laws, including mandates and best practices, and will highlight recent law changes. We will also discuss the essentials of family violence investigations and current data on family violence trends in Georgia. Participants will develop skills to identify the predominant aggressor in a family violence incident and increase their knowledge of lethality indicators, victim behavior, and emerging issues.
