Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Survivor Safety: A Trauma-Informed, Collaborative Response

Dates: Part 1 - January 26, 2026  & Part 2 - January 28, 2026

Time: 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST

Platform: ZOOM - Virtual

Training Description:

Human trafficking involves people being bought, sold, and forced into labor and/or sexual
exploitation. Domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking are interrelated issues for many
survivors. Traffickers and pimps often target people in vulnerable situations, which could include
women and girls experiencing domestic violence.

Building relationships with allies and organizations and developing collaborative strategies in the
community is critical to improving services to meet the needs of trafficked survivors.

This two-part webinar will offer tips and tools to identify human trafficking that is experienced
by domestic violence survivors. Participants will learn to:
 Define Human and Sex Trafficking
 Identify common methods and indicators of human trafficking
 Recognize how human trafficking and domestic violence interact
 Incorporate trauma-informed human trafficking advocacy into their work

Attendees are eligible for the following continuing education credits: 2 POST hours, 2 GCFV-approved FVIP hours, and 2 CJCC-approved Advocate hours - per session for a total of 4 hours if you attend both Part 1 and Part 2.
