Program Certification Requirements

Program applications are accepted on January 1 and July 1 annually.

  • Owner Background Information
  • Disclosure of Business Ventures
  • Program Locations
  • Class Times
  • Class Fee Schedule
  • Indigent Fee Reduction Plan
  • General Liability Insurance ($1,000,000)
  • Victim Liaison Contract (current)
  • Principles of Practice (signed)
  • Background information and background check authorization
  • Curriculum
  • Participation in Task Force
  • Application fee ($250 per judicial circuit)

Facilitator Certification Requirements

Facilitator applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Your certification date will be prorated to the nearest January 1.

Facilitator Recertification Application

  • Commission Provided FVIP Basics Training (20 Hours)
    • Facilitators in Training must complete FVIP Basics 1 Training before beginning any other facilitator certification requirements
  • Commission Approved Training (40 Hours)
  • Community Education and Victim Advocacy (40 Hours)
  • Participant Observer in Certified FVIP (36 Hours)
  • Direct Face to Face Classroom Contact (36 Hours)
    • Complete only after Participant Observer hours
  • Recommendation Letter
    • Written and signed by the certified facilitator with whom you complete direct face-to-face hours with
  • Education Requirement
    • 4 Year Degree or 2 years’ experience as a group facilitator, instructor or counselor
  • Code of Ethics (signed)
  • Principles of Practice (signed)
  • Background information and background check authorization
  • Application fee ($150)
    • Prorated to the nearest January 1

 

GCFV Approved Training

Please view our Events & Training for approved trainings. Not all trainings are approved for FVIP training hours. If a training is approved, it will be listed in the description.

GCFV Portal

Once certified, you will use the GCFV Portal to report to the Commission. If you do not have an account with the GCFV Portal, contact Jameelah Ferrell and one will be issued to you.

You will use the GCFV Portal to notify GCFV of your new monthly participants, update your class times and locations, and pay fees.
