This is a Blueprint for Safety Webinar. This webinar can help you decide if the Blueprint is a good fit for your community, or learn how you can use key Blueprint model features to enhance your CCR. Learn about a method for infusing new focus and energy into your criminal legal system response to domestic violence crimes.
The Blueprint for Safety articulates an effective plan any CCR can use to enhance its capacity to stop violence, reduce harm and save lives. Originally developed and implemented in Saint Paul, Minnesota, OVW is now funding the Blueprint intervention model in Duluth, Minnesota, New Orleans, Louisiana, Shelby County/Memphis, Tennessee, Marquette and Midland Counties in Michigan, and Richmond, Kentucky.
The webinar will explore:
- What is distinctive about the Blueprint approach
- Essential commitments of a Blueprint community
- The community readiness checklist
- Lessons learned in Blueprint communities
- How and why the Blueprint made a difference in our CCR
- Suggestions for "Getting Ready"
Speakers will include: Praxis staff: Denise Eng, Blueprint for Safety Program Manager, and Amalfi Parker Elder, Blueprint for Safety Program & Training
Specialist Guests: Representatives from sites currently implementing the Blueprint will tell us about the impact the Blueprint has had on their communities.
