Columbus Support for Survivors of Murder-Suicide Protocol Launch
The Columbus Domestic Violence Roundtable and the Georgia Commission on Family Violence Present a Free Training: Support for Survivors of Murder-Suicide Community Protocol Launch.
Wednesday, November 18, 2020
9AM-12P
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
A murder-suicide can shatter the equilibrium in the lives of those left behind. Following a murder-suicide, families and friends may be confronted with several situations which they may find overwhelming. It is critically important that we, as a community, come together to let them know that they are not invisible, and they are not alone in their journey to healing.
Training participants will explore the homicide-suicide connection in lethal incidents of domestic violence and discuss the recommendations of the Georgia Domestic Violence Fatality Review Project as they pertain to murder-suicide. Additionally, participants will discover and practice the implementation of a community protocol for responding to the needs of survivors of murder-suicide.
For questions about this training, please contact Kylee Elliott at 404-615-3267 or [email protected].
