The Georgia Commission on Family Violence is pleased to share an upcoming training hosted by the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC). 

The Family Violence First Responder course is aimed at patrol officers and supervisors providing them the necessary skills to successfully recognize and respond to potential acts of Family Violence. The three days covers the trauma informed response, civil remedies and enforcement of civil protection orders, and the essentials of developing a case file around evidence-based prosecution. Students will explore the Dynamics of Abuse, Victimology, Abuser Behavior, Misdemeanor and Felony Offenses, and Current Data on Family Violence Trends in Georgia.
