The Georgia Anti-Stalking Workgroup led by the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia is pleased to provide three in-person training opportunities for stakeholders throughout Georgia. Training will be provided by Jennifer Landhuis, Director of Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC), the federally funded project providing education and resources about the crime of stalking.
The course explores the dynamics of stalking, focusing on the highly contextual nature of the crime, by discussing common tactics used by perpetrators, stalking’s co-occurrence with domestic and sexual violence, the use of risk assessments in stalking cases, the use of technology to stalk, as well as tools to plan for victim safety and hold offenders accountable.
