Domestic Violence in Family Law Cases

The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and the Shalom Bayit Program of Jewish Family & Career Services invite you to take part in a seminar on the role domestic violence plays in family law cases. This seminar will include a discussion of the dynamics of domestic violence, how the dynamics of domestic violence impact family law cases, the Georgia family violence and stalking statutes, custody considerations, and how domestic violence affects children. The seminar will conclude with a panel of judges intimately familiar with both domestic violence and family law cases, who will provide insight on the role domestic violence plays in custody and family law decisions.
3.5 CLE credits will be available for this seminar. AVLF will process CLE credit for you. If you would like to receive CLE credits for the training, please pay by check or below prior to the training or bring a check to the training. We highly encourage attendees to pay in advance of the training to secure their seat.
Registration costs $35.00 and covers the cost of CLE credit, lunch, and beverages. If you do not need or want CLE credit, then the training is $17.50 to cover the cost of lunch and beverages. Registration will close on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, and is limited to the first 30 registrants.
