Task Force of the Year

The Georgia Family Violence Task Force of the Year Award recognizes a Family Violence Task Force that serves as a model for grassroots community organizing. The Task Force of the Year represents a cohesive group that works consistently to provide an innovative approach to a coordinated community response to address the problem of domestic violence in its community.

We recognize that this past year has been unprecedented, and many Task Forces and their members had to swiftly transition to new ways of working together, or consider suspending meetings altogether. Our internal review team will take this into account when reviewing nominations, so in your submissions please feel free to include challenges, obstacles, pivots, and transitions, as well as examples of leadership wins and successes.

The Task Force of the Year should be survivor-centered, and should work together across stakeholder groups to proactively educate the community about domestic violence and improve systems and processes for survivors in their area.
To nominate a local Family Violence Task Force, please complete this form by July 31, 2023. The awardee will be notified by August 31, 2023.

The awardee is selected, based on the strength of the nomination. We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
