The Forsyth County Domestic Violence Task Force, along with Ms. Aisha Rahman from Raksha, Inc., will be facilitating an interfaith training on March 28, 2019 at the United Way Building in Forsyth County.

Communities of faith and their leaders have the potential to play a significant role in helping to identify and prevent domestic. This mini-training is designed to help religious leaders, lay leaders and seminarians to:

  1. Gain a basic understanding of the complex dynamics of domestic violence and effects on individuals, families, and communities.
  2. Increase understanding of victims’ emotions and reasons for staying in abusive relationships.
  3. This training will also discuss nuances around the intersection of religion and domestic violence with a specific emphasis on the Muslim faith.
