DESCRIPTION:January 29th\, 2020\nFVIP Basics 1: Joining the Movement to End
  Family Violence (6 FVIP Hours) - $25\n\n\n\nThis training explores the mo
 vement to end family violence through discussions and activities\, includi
 ng a review of the history of batterer intervention programs in the United
  States and Georgia. An overview of research on the effectiveness of batte
 rer intervention programs will be provided. The training will conclude wit
 h a detailed discussion on the steps and requirements of facilitator certi
 fication.  \n\n\n\nJanuary 30th\, 2020\nFVIP Basics 2: Safety & Accountab
 ility (7 FVIP Hours) - $25\n\n\n\nThis training explores the role of victi
 m safety and participant accountability in the work to family violence int
 ervention programs in Georgia. Explore the concept of accountability\, dis
 cuss to whom are family violence intervention programs accountable\, and h
 ow can we embrace and uphold victim safety as the core of work with batter
 ers. The training will include a detailed overview of the role and require
 ments of Victim Liaisons. \n\n\n\nJanuary 31st\, 2020\nFVIP Basics 3: Par
 ticipant\, Program & Class Process (7 FVIP Hours) - $25\n\n\n\nThis traini
 ng covers updates to the FVIP Rules concerning the entire FVIP process\, f
 rom participant referral\, to intake and exit procedures\, to class design
 \, class rules\, facilitation considerations\, class culture and group pro
 cess\, compliance monitoring and reporting.\n\n\n\nSeating is limited. Yo
 u may attend one training session or all three training days. Each trainin
 g day costs $25 (non refundable and non transferable). You must mail a che
 ck or money order made out to the Georgia Commission on Family Violence (2
 70 Washington Street SW Suite 5-145\, Atlanta\, GA 30334) by January 14th\
 , 2020 to secure your registration. Failure for GCFV to receive your check
  or money order in the correct amount owed by January 14th\, 2020 will res
 ult in your spot being given to another registrant.
