Research/Data Analyst

We currently have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for Research / Data Analyst.

Responsibilities for this position will include:

  • In consultation with the Executive Director, conducts research on statewide family violence data and incidents.

  • Work with community family violence task forces to gather data on statewide family violence data

  • Maintains a current database of statewide family violence data.

  • Develop a mechanism for distribution of statewide family violence data.

  • Reviews, recommends, and/or establishes program priorities and goals consistent with the overall mission of the organization

  • Keep abreast of current domestic violence research.

  • Attends internal and external educational programs and professional meetings as available for continuing professional education.

  • Reads and evaluates literature on a continual basis, translates complex or technical information into a format that can be understood buy others, and distributes as needed.

  • Participate in staff and Commission meetings and any other all-staff activities.

  • Act as a staff representative in GCFV Conference Committee and GCFV Data Committee.

  • Identify training needs through review of statewide data trends.

  • Plans and conducts workshops and training sessions for stakeholders.

  • Complete other appropriate assignments as provided by Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR Five years of related experience
 
Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two years of related experience OR five years of related experience. Solid understanding of domestic violence and strong oral, written, communication, data analysis, and collaborative skills required. Some in-state travel required; some out-of-state travel possible.
