As the state agency charged with ending family violence in Georgia, GCFV is committed to fulfilling our statutory duties and providing leadership in creating a safer Georgia. We believe everyone has a right to feel safe in their home. We envision a Georgia in which all victims of domestic violence can access services and safety and all perpetrators of domestic violence are held accountable for their actions.

Our programs and initiatives support this vision by working with communities and systems across the state to create and enhance family violence task forces, certify and monitor family violence intervention programs, coordinate the fatality review project, provide training and continuing education on the dynamics of family violence, and initiate and coordinate the development of family violence legislation.

Family violence is complex and there is no easy solution to ending it. Fulfilling our duties and goals are no easy feat but our diverse Commission board and staff are committed to engaging every segment of the community in our work.

There are many reasons you could be visiting our website today. If you cannot locate what you are looking for, do not hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff members by calling 404-657-3412. We are happy to help you in the work you’re doing to address family violence in our state.

Sincerely,

Holly Tuchman
GCFV Chair
